The Ladie Presentz: Love Givingz Inc. is a Louisville based nonprofit dedicated to supporting families navigating life after the loss of a loved one. Through compassionate outreach and community support, we provide food assistance, essential household items, and practical resources that help families focus on healing during one of life’s most difficult transitions.
Our programs are designed to relieve immediate burdens during the early weeks after loss, when families are often overwhelmed by grief, responsibilities, and financial strain. By providing essential support and connecting families with a caring community, The Ladie Presentz helps individuals and children rebuild stability and move forward with strength and hope.
Our Story
The Ladie Presentz was founded by Ladie Warfield, a widow whose personal experience shaped the mission of the organization.
After losing her husband of 23 years to leukemia at the age of 41, Ladie faced the unimaginable task of navigating grief while raising adolescent children. Although she was surrounded by supportive friends and family, there was a profound gap, few people truly understood the unique pain of losing a spouse and the impact it has on children.
Her husband’s 18 month battle with cancer involved multiple surgeries, hospital stays, and an unexpected rapid decline. When he passed away, the weeks that followed became overwhelming. Funeral arrangements, returning to work, caring for her children, and managing everyday responsibilities left little space to process grief.
Those first eight weeks after loss revealed a critical need: families navigating loss often lack the practical support and guidance necessary to manage daily life while healing emotionally.
Our Purpose
Motivated by her experience, Ladie created The Ladie Presentz to ensure that other families would not face this journey alone.
Today, the organization provides support through programs that help families meet basic needs, connect with others who understand their experience, and begin rebuilding their lives after loss.
By combining compassion with practical assistance, The Ladie Presentz aims to create a community where families can find comfort, stability, and hope.
